Have you ever thought about a career in the Building and Construction industry?
We can make it happen!

Places are now available @ the Girrawheen SHS Trade Training Centre
Certificate II in Construction Pathways

Places open to all north metro public schools with interested students.

The Girrawheen Trade Training Centre in conjunction with Polytechnic West is offering a Certificate II in Construction Pathways (Pre Apprenticeship Bricklaying/Blocklaying). This course runs on Thursday and Fridays for the duration of 2013. The Certificate course teaches students the practical skills and associated knowledge to work safely in the construction industry. Students undertake work experience and complete a variety of building projects in this hands-on approach to learning.

Year 11 consists of a general overview of the Building and Construction industry and then in Year 12 students can specialise in an area of interest.

The course costs $280 per year which is far cheaper than the same course at Polytechnic West post school. All students receive a uniform, construction safety ‘white card’ and all course qualifications are recognised nationally.

We have strong partnerships with ‘Construction Training Fund’, ‘Australian Brick and Blocklaying Foundation’ and one of Western Australia’s biggest building companies, the ‘Alcock Brown-Neaves Group’. What better start could you make in the Building and Construction industry?
